LYMINGTON

Renovation and extension of derelict property within a conservation area.
Timescale: 6 months
Stage Started at: Planning application
Key Challenges:
We were approached by an existing client to transform a property that they had found into a high specification holiday home. The property had plenty of existing character but having been previously split into two flats and then left uninhabited for several years it was in need of some love. We were involved from the start, working closely with the architect and local conservation officer to see what could be achieved with the property to meet the client’s requirements, whilst retaining the character. Access to the property was quite restricted which provided challenges when getting materials on and off of site, without upsetting the existing residents.
How the work went
This was a great project to work on, achieving the challenge of delivering a modernised functional family home whilst retaining the existing character of the property made this project very rewarding. We are proud to have been involved with the whole project from the design process through to delivering a very high standard and beautifully detailed product.

Fourthwright and are a pleasure to work with, their attention to detail and forward thinking makes my job and the construction process much simpler. They are innovative and contribute their experience and ideas to achieve the clients objectives. I would always recommend Fourthwright to my clients.
